As the second largest national hydropower producer with 20 large dams, A2A is highly sensitive to environmental issues, including sediment removal from reservoirs.
Specifically, the 2023 intervention at the Isolato Dam, located in the municipality of Madesimo, in the province of Sondrio, will be illustrated. The preliminary investigations necessary for the activity, the intervention methods, and the post-operation monitoring will be presented. Special attention will also be given to extraordinary maintenance activities on civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
The speakers will be Laura Turconi, Environmental and Territorial Engineer, and Francesca Vigliocco, Civil Engineer.
