In 1993 he took a PhD in Energy Technologies discussing a Thesis on small power combustion heat generators. At the end of 1992 he won a researcher position at the 2nd Faculty of Engineering of the Politecnico di Torino. From 1997 to the end of 2004 he was associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico di Torino. On January 1st, 2005 he started his activity as a full professor at the first Faculty of Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino. From 2000 to 2002 he was member of the Administrative Board (giunta del Dipartimento) of the Department of Energetics (DENER) – Politecnico di Torino. From 2012 he is member of the Administrative Board (Giunta del Dipartimento) of the Department of Energy (DENERG) – Politecnico di Torino. From October 2015 to September 2019, he was vice-head of the Department of Energy – Politecnico di Torino. Since October 2019, he is head of the Department of Energy – Politecnico di Torino. Since November 2019, he is member of the Academic Senate – Politecnico di Torino. TEACHING ACTIVITY During the years, Marco Perino has given lectures on: thermal and HVAC systems, building physics, applied thermodynamic and heat transfer, control of the indoor environment, ventilation systems, thermal solar systems, building physics in the Bachelor and Master Courses at the Faculties/Schools of Engineering and Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino. Moreover, since academic year 2008-2009 he teaches in the course “principle and techniques for the environmental control for the preservation of the cultural heritage” at the University of Torino.
