Abstract
The proposed solution aims at supporting the green transition of the European Steel sector, and it is based on a set of promising and innovative technological solutions to produce and deploy Green H2. The main innovation, to be validated by a TRL3 Proof-Of-Concept (POC), is represented by a disruptive approach to Biomethane pyrolysis through a new biochar-based catalyst, tested in the POC, so to set a new pathway for the Green H2 and Carbon in the short term in a truly circular approach. To achieve this target, H2STEEL identifies a set of specific objectives:
