Biografia

Paola Grillo Coppola received her Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in October 2021. She continued her studies obtaining her Master's Degree cum laude in Biomedical Engineering, with a specialization in Bionanotechnologies, in October 2023. Her Master's Degree thesis, titled "Design of an injectable and bioerodible supramolecular hydrogel for local siRNA delivery", was focused on the design of a supramolecular hydrogel made of a custom-made polyurethane capable of locally releasing nanoparticles containing RNA. The project, conducted at LMU (Ludwig Maximilian Universitat) of Munich (Germany), was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Gianluca Ciardelli, Prof. Monica Boffito and Prof. Olivia Merkel. In March 2024, she began the PhD Program in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences, a collaboration between Politecnico di Torino and Università degli Studi di Torino. Her research, supervised by Prof. Monica Boffito, Prof. Gianluca Ciardelli and Prof. Clara Mattu, focuses on the development of supramolecular hydrogels for 3D bioprinting and local drug delivery.
