Biografia

I attended Politecnico di Torino to complete my studies in Civil Engineering, major in Structures, obtaining both Bachelor's and a Master's degree. It was an enthralling but at the same time challenging journey to realize my highest ambitions, and a great achievement in the present.
Several laboratories and practice in the field enriched the learning, providing an all-round preparation. By the way, it is impossible to establish which was my favourite course: each lesson is inspiring. I also attended a Master's year abroad at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, a great opportunity for growth from both professional and personal side.

My studies allowed me to spend 4 month of internship. I was accepted to enter in the Bridges Department of the well-known company FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores S.A. in Madrid, which main focus is the design of structures and infrastructures. After the MSc degree, I was joined permanently in the company. My specialization was the structural analysis for the diagnostic of existing bridges and the robustness assessment. The solid university background allowed me to cope with work duties in a very confident way. Even if technology is racing ahead, my university notes were always present on my desk. Here, I could find not only the answers but also a dimension to think and reflect. I like to take time to deeply understand what behind, and not limit to just run the code.

In my notes I found also a much more important answer: I realised that was the time to come back to Italy, where my place is. I won a research scholarship at the Politecnico di Torino, which deals with seismic analyses. I must say that this experience provided me final confirmation: I want to dedicate my professional life to science research. The highly skilled team, the scientific environment, the meticulous pursuit of answers, have definitely captivated me to spend all my efforts in this field.
