A key aspect of this study is the modeling of complex structures, which involves creating detailed mathematical and computational representations of intricate architectural and engineering designs. These models simulate how structures respond to various dynamic forces and environmental conditions, such as seismic activity and wind loads. By capturing the interactions between materials and geometric configurations, the research aims to uncover vulnerabilities and assess the reliability of infrastructures under varying conditions.
The ultimate goal is to establish a continuous model calibration framework that accounts for temporal variations in structural behavior, enhancing our understanding of aging processes and enabling predictive maintenance. This framework will integrate real-time monitoring data, allowing for ongoing adjustments to models to reflect the actual conditions of the structures.
The research theme will focus on refining calibration techniques, developing more precise models, and validating them through real-world case studies. These advancements hold significant implications for structural health monitoring and infrastructure management, providing critical insights that can lead to more effective maintenance strategies and improved safety standards.
