- Dr. Sara Torabi Moghadam (f) earned her Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Development (2018) at the Politecnico di Torino. She is an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Torino (DIST) with a demonstrated history of +8 years in the field of “Sustainable and Smart Cities” being involved in several national and European projects, e.g., DIMMER-FP7-ICT; SCORE-H2020; MOLOC-INTERREG EUROPE, and CESABMED-INTERREG MED. In her career, she has supported both public administration and private sector entities aiding them in achieving SDGs. She carried out a “Meriton Fellowship” at the Western University of Sydney (WSU) and a research and teaching visit at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), University of Salford and University di Amsterdam (UvA). Her research deals with co-design thinking sustainable and circular urban planning, NBS socio-economic impacts, KPIs impact assessment, and evaluation through participatory approaches. Her expertise focuses on Multi-Criteria Spatial Decision Support System (MC-SDSS), which intends to facilitate the participatory decisional process for stakeholders who can ask “what-if” questions and visualize “if-then” scenarios in real time. She is the author of several international scientific articles.
