Multiscale Modelling Methods in Biomechanics

Biografia

She graduated in Biotechnology and specialized in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Turin, with a focus on Biomedical Imaging and Drug Discovery. Her research has centered on experimental neuroscience, integrating molecular and cellular approaches to study brain function and dysfunction. Her work included electrophysiological studies on neuronal cells in vitro and ex vivo, investigating synaptic function and network activity.
During her PhD, she aims to develop an integrated mechanobiological understanding of brain function and dysfunction by combining multiscale modeling, structural biology, bio-inspired materials, and cellular neuroscience. Her research will focus on how the mechanical and structural properties of neurons influence cognition, memory, consciousness, and brain vulnerability.
