ADALTIM aims at creating an independent market-based organisation (Newco) that is equipped to deliver intelligent impact rating services by making use of the innovative methodologies for data and knowledge-intensive impact measurement. In order to provide the Newco with the right resources and substantial capitalization, we involved a remarkably high number of investors in a governance model that will combine efficiency in delivering impact rating services and a robust mission-lock mechanism. As far as the development of an innovative impact rating methodology is concerned, three leading academic partners and two specialised research centres will develop a conceptual approach and an actionable set of instruments that are set to overcome the limitations of current ESG rating practices, which tend to underate social enterprises and purpose-oriented companies and make it very difficult for them to convey their full social and environmental value to potential investors. TRIADI will be in charge of the technological development of the platform hosting the impact rating service, leveraging on the experience of an on-going tech-based ESG rating platform that will be the crucial asset on which Newco's business plan will be based. To ensure an external assurance of the methodological coherence with the integrity and transparency of the impact rating services, we involved two players such as Impact Europe and Copenhagen Business School. Finally, within the project we can count on two large network organisations such as Diesis and Phenix capital which will represent the interests and expectations of the demand side, and the dissemination of the results, while the seven investors that are part of the project will represent stakeholders’ interests on the capital supply side. This structure will be complemented by our legal partner, Legance, which will assess the compatibility and compliance of the approach and developed instruments within the current regulatory EU framework.
