Biography
Education
I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Messina, and my Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering – Electronics for Industrial Applications at Politecnico di Torino.
My Master’s thesis focused on the analysis of nonlinear effects in silicon microring resonators for neuromorphic computing applications, through both theoretical and experimental approaches.
I have gained various research experiences, including international ones, which have significantly enriched my academic and professional background.
PhD Program
My current PhD project, carried out at Politecnico di Torino in collaboration with STMicroelectronics, focuses on the study of nonlinear effects in silicon microring resonators for neuromorphic computing applications, as well as on the design, testing, and fabrication of slow-wave silicon modulators intended for high-speed optical modulation in data centers and photonic systems for neuromorphic computing.
