Abstract

The major objective of the project is to develop the next generation of fiber reinforced composites that (i) benefit from an improved carbon footprint (by being based on bio-derived building blocks), (ii) pave the way for implementing new bonding techniques in future production routines (by being weldable), (iii) can be recycled and reprocessed, once their end of lifetime is reached, and (iv) offer the possibility to lower production/energy costs (by being malleable and weldable).
