Abstract
The project aims to strengthen higher education capacity in AI-enabled safe autonomous robotics by closing the gap between advanced technological developments and current educational provision. The project seeks to equip students and academic staff with practice-oriented competences in ROS2-based system integration, simulation-supported learning, safety-by-design, and cybersecurity, supported by a recognised micro-credential aligned with European skills and digital transformation priorities. The project will implement a structured sequence of activities, including skills needs analysis and curriculum design, development of digital and simulation-based training materials, and integration into a scalable learning platform. Training modules will be piloted with higher education learners, evaluated using quantitative and qualitative indicators, refined based on evidence, and supported by dissemination and sustainability actions ensuring long-term uptake and European transferability.
The project will deliver a validated curriculum framework, a digital and simulation-based training environment, ROS2- focused learning modules, assessment tools, and a recognised micro-credential. Expected outcomes include improved learner competencies in safe autonomous robotics, increased digital teaching capacity of universities, stronger links with industry practice, and sustainable integration of innovative robotics training into European higher education systems.
