Biography

I attended the Bachelor's degree course in Computer Engineering at the University of Catania, obtaining my degree in November 2019.
I continued my academic career by enrolling in the Master's degree course in Computer Engineering with a focus on Graphics and Multimedia at the Politecnico of Turin, obtaining my degree in December 2023 with a thesis entitled "Multi-Role Simulation and Training for Forest Fire Management using Mixed Reality Wearable Devices", aimed at enhancing an AR tool originally designed to support training in forest firefighting.
Immediately after graduation, I started a collaboration with the GRaphics And INtelligent Systems (GRAINS) group and the VR@POLITO laboratory of the Department of Computer and Control Engineering (DAUIN), with a fellowship supervised by Prof. F. Lamberti.
The fellowship focused on the use of XR tools for interactive 3D visualisation in multi-user and multi-role platforms.
This research work was later translated into a PhD ("eXtended Reality technologies for socially engaged virtual environments").
