Biography

Biomedical Engineer, specialized in Bionanotechnology. After two years working on the development of mesoporous silica nanoparticles for controlled delivery and release of anticancer drugs, I have enhaced my knowledge and experience with cells and designing experiments to test cytocompatibility of various materials. I'm now working on the development of in vitro 3D bioprinted in vitro models to replace animals in research. In particular I'm focusing on full-thickness skin models and their infection with bacteria or viruses to obtain platforms for drugs and therapies screening.
