Biography

Valeria Mariano is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Electronics and Telecommuncations (DET) in Politecnico di Torino. She received her B.Sc. in Biomedical engineering in 2017 and her M.Sc in Biomedical engineering with Specialization in medical instrumentation in 2019, both from Politecnico di Torino. For her Master’s thesis, she worked on analyses and testing of image reconstruction algorithms for a biomedical device.
She started the Ph.D. under the supervision of Francesca Vipiana and Jorge Alberto Tobon Vasquez, in the same project of Master’s thesis, with the aim of developing a device for monitoring patient with a stroke through microwave imaging technology.
