Biography

Federico Andrea Bologna is a biomedical engineer with a strong background in finite element analysis. He worked for three years as a structural analyst, developing projects in different field. He has experience in the study of the tensional state to increase the reliability and strength of devices, in thermo-mechanical, use and durability, fatigue life, random vibration, and design optimisation analyses. Since November 2020, he has been a doctoral student in the Bioengineering Group at Politecnico di Torino with Professor A. L. Audenino. His work focuses on in silico and in vitro approaches for the mechanical characterization of orthopedic devices to predict their behavior after implantation. He is very enthusiastic about teaching and dedicated to effectively communicating his findings. He is the author of two peer-reviewed articles, eleven conference proceedings, and participated in national and international conferences with both oral and poster presentations, also assuming the role of co-chair. Teaching assistant of Biomedical Engineering master's courses in Biomechanics of Solids and Design of Prostheses and Artificial Organs. During his Ph.D., he was correlator of 20+ master's theses and referee of 10+ interdisciplinary projects for bachelor's degree candidates.
