Biography

ChatGPT ha detto: Associate Professor in Architectural Restoration at the Department of Architecture and Design of the Polytechnic University of Turin. He obtained his PhD in Cultural Heritage in 2011. In the same year, he qualified for the professional practice of architecture and registered with the Order of Architects of the Province of Turin, beginning his professional activity. Since 2011, he has held teaching appointments in the degree programmes in Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Turin. He has been Visiting Professor or has carried out teaching activities at the Aleppo University of Architecture (2011), the Pratt Institute, New York (2015), the Yildirim Beyazit University, Ankara (2018, 2021), and the University of Architecture, Belgrade (2019). He has been a member of the PhD Board in Architectural and Landscape Heritage (Polytechnic University of Turin) since 2019, and is a founding member of the international research centre FoRS – Focus on Ruskin Studies (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice) and of PerspectLAB – Laboratory for the Theory, Creation and Politics of Space (Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade). He also serves on scientific and editorial boards of national and international book series and academic journals. He is Principal Investigator of the research projects Co.R.A.Ve. (Conservation of Archaeological Ruins in Vegetated Contexts), CA(E)RE Program, and Co.Co.War (Dissonant Heritage and War. Conservation and Communication of a Difficult Legacy). He is the author of monographs and scientific articles on topics related to the conservation of the existing built environment, architectural restoration, and the enhancement of cultural heritage. His research focuses on the preservation of ruined buildings, exploring both the conservation of classical ruins within archaeological contexts and that of dissonant ruined architecture from the contemporary age.
