Biography
Daniele Milanesio received a Master of Science in Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois (Chicago, USA) in 2004; he also graduated in Telecommunication Engineering and received a PhD in Electronics at Politecnico di Torino (Italy), in 2004 and 2008 respectively. His research work was focused on the development and validation of a code, named TOPICA, for the analysis of plasma-facing antennas for magnetically confined nuclear fusion experiments. He is now associate professor at the Electronics Department of Politecnico di Torino, and member of the LACE group, i.e. the antenna and electromagnetic compatibility laboratory. His current research interests are in nuclear fusion (in particular plasma facing antennas), radar technology and antenna design and measurements. He is responsible of the activities of Politecnico di Torino related to the ITER IC antenna design.
