(Area 0001 - Mathematical and computer sciences)

Research topics

  • My main research interests focus on approximation theory and its applications. Specifically, greedy methods and two-layered kernel machines have been revisited and studied as feature reduction algorithms, enabling the identification of the most relevant physical variables for predicting geomagnetic storms. Moreover, these techniques will also be investigated from both a theoretical and practical perspective to determine optimal sampling strategies for simulating solar nanosatellites. This will lead to a substantial advancement in the understanding of inverse problems.
