Ignazio Roppolo

Fixed-term tenure-track assistant professor
Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT)

  • Member of Interdepartmental Center PolitoBIOMed Lab - Biomedical Engineering Lab

Profile

Research interests

Photopolymerization
Polymeric 3d printing

Biography

Dr. Roppolo is leader of a laboratory specifically focused on light-induced 3D printing. He has published more than 110 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, with more than 4000 citations, among which more than 50 papers specifically focused on light induced 3D printing . Since 2015 his research aimed at exploring novel fabrication routes through a materials science-based approach to 3D printing, merging chemical, physical and design characteristics to obtain synergistic properties. This approach is then applied in different fields such as biomedical, sensor, chemical engineering, new and sustainable materials, 4D printing.
