SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Stefania Scarsoglio earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics for Engineering Sciences at the Politecnico di Torino in 2002, and a Master's Degree in Mathematical Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino in 2004. From January 2005 to December 2007 she has been a PhD student in Fluid Dynamics at the Politecnico di Torino. From January 2006 to January 2007 she was appointed as a visiting graduate student at the Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Washington (Seattle, WA, USA), working with Prof. W. O. Criminale. In March 2008 she obtained her PhD Degree in Fluid Dynamics at the Politecnico di Torino.

From February 2008 to May 2008 she achieved a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Politecnico di Torino. From May 2008 to May 2009 she worked as a fluid dynamics and mechanical analyst at the Fiat Research Center in Torino. From July 2009 to May 2011 she has been a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering, Politecnico di Torino.

From October 2011 to October 2014 she has been Assistant Professor in Fluid Dynamics at the Politecnico di Torino, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She has been visiting the Mathematics Department at the MIT (Cambridge, MA, USA) during the 2011 fall term. From October 2014 to January 2018 she has been Assistant Professor with tenure in Fluid Dynamics. Since February 2018 she is Associate Professor in Fluid Dynamics.
