Biography

Paolo Ragazzo is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. He received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2017 and 2020, respectively. He is currently a Visitor at the University of Nottingham and previously he was an Exchange Student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and an Intern at Motor Design Ltd. He received the Jorma Luomi Student Forum Award at the ICEM 2022 conference in Valencia, Spain. He collaborates on the development of SyR-e, an open-source tool for electric machine design. His research activities relate to electric traction motors, especially synchronous reluctance and permanent magnet machines, with emphasis on design methodologies, performance estimation and multiphysics modelling.
