Biography

I received the M.Sc degree in Mechatronic Engineering in December 2019 and the B.Sc degree in Biomedical Engineering in October 2017, both at Politecnico di Torino.
My M.Sc thesis was developed at the TuDelft university in the Netherlands, with the main purpose to generate a human-like trajectory for a mobile robot that navigating in a human populated environment.
After the M.Sc graduation, I worked at DET (Dipartimento di Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni) as research assistant and I developed an online test with videos in which humans and robot shared the same environment. The goal of the test was understanding if participants were able to recognize my robot in the crowd and quantify the human-likeness of the recognized robot.
My background is deeply interdisciplinary and during my PhD I wanted to combine my interests in robotics with the study of human behaviour considering as first question: How humans judge robot?
By answering this question is possible to create not only new technology but also a future innovation for our society.
