Special Talk from Brussels: “How Horizon Europe will support the Clean Industrial Deal (CID)”
The new Special Talk from Brussels will take place on Wednesday, 8 July 2026 at 2,30 p.m. This periodic event brings together European Commission officials to discuss the impact of European policies and initiatives on research and innovation.
The webinar guest will be Patrick Brenier, Advisor on Strategic Clean Energy Initiatives at the Clean Planet Directorate, DG RTD. He will provide a brief general overview of the Clean Industrial Deal, a plan that—in line with the Draghi Report and the Competitiveness Compass —sets out a series of actions to turn decarbonisation into a driver of growth for European industries, with specific measures for energy-intensive sectors and clean technologies.
The speaker will then focus on the relationship between the Clean Industrial Deal and Horizon Europe, particularly the 2027 calls aimed at supporting the achievement of the plan’s objectives.
Please note that no guidance will be provided on the preparation of specific project proposals.
