PoliTO Cinema | Nuvola. Un progetto aperto alla città

Politecnico di Torino returns with the PoliTO Cinema series. The next event will take place on Thursday, 2 July at 8:30 p.m. in the Aula Magna at Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24. The documentary film "Nuvola. Un progetto aperto alla città", a 2025 film conceived by Virginio Briatore, creative direction by Francesca Molteni and directed by Luca Caon.

What happens when an urban intervention becomes the engine of the rebirth of an entire neighborhood? The documentary film “NUVOLA. Un progetto aperto alla città” tells the story of the urban regeneration process of the Aurora neighborhood triggered by the construction of the new Lavazza headquarters in Turin: a living, open and constantly evolving place. Cino Zucchi, the narrator of the film, accompanies the viewer through the spaces of the project, giving voice to the different communities that cross, inhabit and live it in a multiform system of relationships. Through a narrative that intertwines memory, innovation and social inclusion, the film shows how an urban regeneration intervention can generate new connections, opportunities and forms of belonging. Nuvola is a reflection on the transformative power of places and on how an urban project can become a catalyst for change. The screening will be preceded by a debate moderated by Ombretta Caldarice, professor of the Dipartimento Interateneo di Scienze, Progetto e Politiche del Territorio -DIST, with:
