  Camillo Guidi

Camillo Guidi   was born in Rome on 24th July 1853. He graduated at the Application School for Engineers of Rome in 1873.
From 1882 Guidi was a temporary professor of Graphic Statics at the Application School for Engineers of Turin. Since 1887 he was titular professor of the chair in Science of Construction. In 1893 Guidi became director of the Cabinet in Science of Construction and Theory of Bridges.

Professor emeritus of the Politecnico di Torino, Guidi died in Rome on 30th October 1941.

Even today, Guidi's studies on the principle of elasticity in its technical applications, on the theory of continual systems, on simple cement and reinforced concrete complexes and their resistance are still valid.
